The examination assesses the same basic knowledge and skills as in the past, and also considers training programs leading to the permit to practice. It does not contain any clinical situations involving critical care or community health.
The professional examination is prepared using the key features approach, which allows the evaluation to focus on the critical aspects of each clinical situation in order to determine your ability to practise the profession. These clinical situations are similar to those routinely encountered by novice nurses.
Thus the examination requires that you assimilate and apply knowledge to handle clinical situations, rather than simply memorize classroom knowledge.
